He grew up in London and graduated in 1994 from The London Hospital Medical College (University of London) and completed his post-graduate specialist training based at the Royal Free Hospital in North West London. He worked as a full time General Physician & Geriatrician at Basildon University Hospital in England. He moved to Australia in 2009 and joined the John Hunter Hospital as a Consultant Physician. He worked in the field of diabetes and general medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Royal college of Physicians of London, UK.
His special interest, in addition to geriatric medicine, include peri-operative medicine and diabetes and worked both in public and private hospitals.

Frank completed his medical degree in New Zealand and subsequently received his specialist training at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in General Paediatrics and a Member of the Chapter of Community Child Health. Frank is passionate about working holistically and in collaboration with parents, GPs, psychologists, schoolteachers, and other allied health professionals. This was awarded to him by the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) and the University of Sydney. His advanced clinical training in colorectal surgery was completed at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. And then received further training in the United Kingdom at St Mark's and Basingstoke Hospitals. He has special interests in minimally invasive colorectal and general surgery, specifically in inflammatory bowel diseases, colorectal cancer, complex proctology, hernia surgery and colonoscopy.

Dr Sheriff graduated from the University of Melbourne with a combined Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours). She completed her Basic Physician Training at the Royal Melbourne and Prince of Wales Hospitals. She proceeded to specialist training in Endocrinology at Royal North Shore and St Vincent’s Hospitals in Sydney. She undertook a pituitary fellowship at St Vincent’s hospital and was recipient of a University of New South Wales Research Training Program scholarship for subsequent research in pituitary tumours and genetics. She has also furthered her interest in research while working at the prestigious William Harvey Research Institute in London, UK.
She has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in the fields of pituitary diseases, diabetes, obesity and bone. She has been an invited speaker at multiple national and international conferences to present her research. She is a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia, Australian Diabetes Society, US Endocrine Society and European Society of Endocrinology. She is passionate about teaching and is an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians exams. She is a VMO at Sydney Adventist Hospital and is involved with undergraduate teaching through the University of Sydney.
Dr Sheriff has clinical expertise in managing all areas of endocrinology including diabetes (type 1, 2 and pregnancy-related) and insulin resistance, thyroid, pituitary and adrenal conditions, endocrine disorders in pregnancy, bone and calcium disorders as well as polycystic ovarian syndrome and weight management.

Dr Zahid graduated from the University of New South Wales with a combined Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and went on to complete her basic physicians and advanced training in Gastroenterology at Westmead and Liverpool Hospitals. After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, Dr Zahid undertook two years of training as the advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellow at Westmead and Royal North Shore Hospitals, developing expertise in ERCP and endoscopic mucosal resection. During this time, she was also involved in clinical research, and remains extensively involved in teaching both medical students and trainee doctors.
In addition to therapeutic endoscopy, Dr. Zahid has clinical expertise in managing all areas of general gastroenterology and hepatology. She is accredited for gastroscopy, colonoscopy and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr Zahid’s priority is to provide compassionate and high-quality care, with an individualised and holist approach to ensure the best outcome for her patients.
